Background of co-organiser
Principal Chan Free Tutorial World was established in April 2011. It is a non-profit organization recognized by the HKSAR Government. With the support of many generous people in the society who have become their volunteer teachers, they provide absolutely free learning support to the underprivileged children who have financial difficulties.
Project details
The Reading Programme was established to bring the enjoyment and benefits of storytelling to children and to increase kids’ confidence in using English in their daily lives and at school.
In the project, students are required to:
- Attend a compulsory briefing organised by Principal Chan Free Tutorial World on November 23 or December 8 to familiarize themselves with the arrangement of the reading programme and to understand the organisation’s beneficiaries; and
- Conduct 2 English reading sessions at designated centres of the organisation
- Plan and design learning activities to be conducted in the reading sessions.
- Submit a lesson plan to the centre at least one week prior to the reading session.

December 8, 10:30am to 11am (Tai Kok Tsui)
