Navigate Your STEM Education at Hong Kong Science Park

Background of co-organisers

Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) is a statutory body with the mission to develop the innovation and technology ecosystem in Hong Kong. Since inception in 2001, HKSTP has been carefully building a tech-based ecosystem that connects stakeholders, nurtures talent, facilitates collaboration, and drives innovation to commercialisation.

As part of their mission to nurture talents, HKSTP organises various STEM-related activities for students of different age, helping them to groom interest in science and engineering as well as to understand career prospects in the technology industry.

Robot is regarded as the one of the most engaging tool to facilitate STEM education as it integrates the use of mechanical engineering, physics, coding, and mathematics modeling. Robo Workshop is set up to provide a wide range of robotics learning kits and workshops for students from both primary and secondary schools to get a taste of robot making, and to nurture their ‘maker-spirit’ through trial and error. It has been visited by over 7,000 students and teachers since its launch in 2015 September.
