Experiential Learning at HOBBYHK

Background of Co-organiser

HOBBYHK is a youth education organization that shares its enthusiasm and expertise with the general public, while striving to keep educators reasonably compensated for their continued professional development. We have four main areas of work: Life-and-Death education, Astronomy education, Environmental protection, and Art education.

We reach out to the community and recruit talented people, and worked with over 50 non-governmental organizations, charities, colleges and universities, and educational institutions, and so on. These include Yan Oi Tong, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, SKH Lady Macleshose Social Service Centre, Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service, People Service Centre, etc. We have served over 4,000 participants and nearly 100 social workers, teachers and staff till now.

Project Details

Students will assist in:

  • developing Life-and-Death Education activities, online and printed materials
  • supporting face-to-face Life-and-Death workshops and activity logistics; and
  • preparing materials for the social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, and webpage etc.)


  • September 26 – November 1, 2022
  • Students are required to work 5 full days per week. Occasionally, they are required to work outside normal office hours, including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.

  • PGDE (full-time) from all majors
  • Proactive, passionate in life-and-death education
  • Creative, empathetic
  • Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of graphical, design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and video creator software is preferred.
