Experiential Learning at HKHS

Background of Co-organiser

The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) is an independent, non-government and not-for profit organisation established in 1948, providing quality housing for the people of Hong Kong. Incorporated by Ordinance in 1951, HKHS has implemented various housing schemes to meet the needs of niche markets. Governed by Members with a Supervisory Board and an Executive Committee made up of professionals coming from different sectors of the community, we have been serving the Hong Kong community with a social mission.

Project Details

Be part of the Corporate Communications Section to assist in the following areas:

  • Assist in planning and organising youth engagement programmes and school events;
  • Assist in outreach education programme;
  • Assist in the daily operation and act as a docent of HKHS Exhibition Centre; and
  • Revise and edit the teaching materials on learning and teaching resources including but not limited to online education portal “HS e-Academy”, outreach education programme etc.

Date

  • Duration: September 26 – November 1, 2022 (5 days per week for 5.5 weeks)
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, and as required by events

Location

  • Hong Kong Housing Society Corporate Office, 28/F, World Trade Centre, 280 Gloucester Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
  • HKHS Exhibition Centre, Shop E, G/F, Prosperous Garden, 3 Public Square Street, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon
  • Outdoor assignments will be given, if necessary

Eligibility

PGDE full-time students from all major subjects who are passionate in inspiring young people to explore the housing development of Hong Kong

Remarks

  • Shortlisted students may be invited to attend an interview arranged by HKHS (details to be confirmed)
  • No employment relationship between HKHS and the students under this internship. Thus, the students are not entitled to any staff benefit of HKHS such as MPF, paid sick leave, etc.
  • Statutory Minimum Wage does not apply
  • HKHS will issue a certificate to the students upon the completion of the internship.
