Fostering 4Cs through Engaging STEM/STEAM-related Activities
This course equipped me with a solid foundation of STEM, but more importantly, opened my mind about the possibilities of STEM education. In this course, we had tried to define STEM ourselves and constructed a model to represent STEM education in our understanding. Eventually, everyone got their special pictures. It shows that STEM education is not only a subject. It is continuously changing and evolving everyday and educators/teachers may have different views or definitions towards it. It can be a lifestyle, an attitude or a belief, that simply make learning joyful or make the world better. The Odyssey of the Mind (OM) World Finals was an incredible experience for our team as we could compete with teams from different universities, nations and races. We all truly enjoyed the OM journey of Odyssey and believed that creativity can be trained as it is not limited to adolescents. I am grateful that I could work with such wonderful teammates from HKU to participate in OM.
